As part of the renovations at the Manchester Family YMCA on Hull Street Rd, the Y has built a Welcome Center to serve as a hub for new and current residents in the area to find information, get resources and continue developing a sense of belonging.
About the Welcome Center
Along with nearly 30 partner organizations, the Welcome Center will offer a safe, welcoming, culturally-minded space for those new to our community, region or country. Programs will include language classes, legal and immigration services, parenting classes, citizenship preparation and a variety of community activities.
WHAT'S NEW:
- Mobile food distribution in partnership with Feed More
- Second Monday of every month, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Food is accessible to all with a Welcome Center food voucher.
- FREE Story Time in partnership with the Chesterfield County Public Library
- Third Thursday of every month, 6 - 7 p.m.
