Mission and Vision
The mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
The Richmond YMCA began as a fellowship society and Bible study group for young evangelical males. Today, it is a family-oriented institution welcoming all to develop their spiritual, mental and physical gifts.
We're all better when we work together! We are grateful for our community partnerships and welcome the opportunity to add you or your organization to our growing team of dedicated organizations looking to better their community.
The YMCA of Greater Richmond is committed to the highest ethical standards and transparency in its governance, management and financial matters. The Y’s financial reports are available below.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
We believe the Y must continue to lead the way to a brighter future by following our belief that we are stronger when our doors are open to all. Our policies, practices and programs must advance our organizational commitment to diversity and inclusion.
