Renovation FAQs

We are excited to announce that our Downtown YMCA is undergoing renovations. It’s been over 20 years since our last facility upgrade. Renovations will increase accessibility and update our space to reflect the programs and services we offer today.

How long will renovations take?

Renovations will occur in two phases. Phase I will take approximately 8-9 months, with phase 2 lasting another 8-9 months. The total estimated time for renovation is 16-18 months.

 What’s changing?

There will be new men’s and women’s locker rooms as well as adding universal bathrooms on the first floor, and the current wellness and free weight rooms will be rearranged. Group exercise classes will be moved to the first floor.

Will you be open during renovations?

Yes, the wellness floor and strength equipment will be temporarily located on the second floor.

Which amenities be closed during renovations?

The following amenities will be closed during renovations: pool, sauna/steam in men’s and women’s locker rooms, basketball gymnasium, group ex studio and racquetball court (during first phase). The pool and group ex studio will reopen in Phase 2, so they will be closed for 8-9 months.

What about parking?
