One thing the last two years taught us is that where we build community matters. The Tuckahoe YMCA has been a place of strength and support since 1975. Over the years we’ve grown and expanded to serve generations of children, families and adults in Henrico County. But never has our work been more important since the beginning of this pandemic.

From crisis comes clarity. While in crisis it became clear what really matters: health, safety, family, and real human connections.

This is why a strong Y is needed more than ever.

In our hallways and lobbies, classrooms and locker rooms - real connections form and children, teens and families grow stronger in spirit, mind and body.

Today, we need your support to help us create a Tuckahoe Y that will serve our community well into the future.

A thoughtfully designed, fully accessible, and modern facility will provide an environment that better supports social and physical health for all and allows us to respond to the evolving needs. With your support we can:

• Improve accessibility to ensure a barrier-free facility;

• Bring the teen center into our main building, providing a safe, inclusive and positive environment;

• Expand and modernize wellness center;

• Create welcoming gathering and community spaces for people to make meaningful connections;

• Improve youth program space, including a relocated and improved Child Watch;

• Create and expand locker rooms, including new family and special needs locker rooms. Your gift today will support our next generation of kids and families
