Check-In Calls

We continue to communicate with our members ages 65 and older who have not recently come into the Y. If you or a loved one are a YMCA member aged 65 and older, sign up for these calls by emailing Faithea Foster and leaving the name and phone number of the YMCA member.

Fall Prevention

1 in 4 Americans aged 65+ falls each year. Every 11 seconds, an older adult is treated in the emergency room for a fall.  Physical activity can go a long way toward fall prevention.

Consider activities such as walking, water workouts or tai chi. Such activities reduce the risk of falls by improving strength, balance, coordination and flexibility.

Y Fit Virtual

Our Roadmap to Wellness is here to guide you to better health through our Y Fit Sessions.  Due to COVID 19, the Y has a Virtual Y Fit session to provide members with an exercise plan.
