Special Events

Our special events will be available on our online schedule or download our FREE mobile app by searching “RVA YMCA” on your device’s app store.  Choose the category “Outdoor Pool”.

Guest Policies

There is a $5 guest fee for all guests; children age 1 and under are free.  Guests must be accompanied by a YMCA Outdoor Pool member at all times; if the member must leave for any reason, their guests must leave as well.  Guest passes for the indoor YMCA facility are not applicable to the outdoor pool.  Guest fees are not returned should the YMCA closes early for any reason, including inclement weather.

For a guest waiver, please visit our Guest Passes and Policies page.

All guests will need to have a guest waiver completed by a legal guardian at least 18 years of age or older.

Inclement Weather

The YMCA will close the pool in the event of inclement weather if the safety of our members and guests is at risk.  While we will try to “wait out the storm”, the pool will remain closed for 30 minutes after each lightning strike or clap of thunder.  For more information on the Inclement Weather Policy, see our Information Packet at the bottom of this page.

Swim Tests

Swim tests assist our lifeguards in more quickly identifying the swimmers who can be in different areas of the pool.  Details about the swim tests will be posted here soon.
