YMCA Beginning Dance-Ballet & Jazz (Ages 6-10) is designed to introduce your child to the basic elements, steps, and terms of ballet and jazz. Basic instruction is given to increase core strength, flexibility, musicality, knowledge of dance terms and positions as well as upper and lower body coordination. Ballet & Jazz class is a great building block for future dance experiences. This class is a great way for your child to build confidence, increase flexibility, poise, and grace, have fun and prepare for their very own performance the final week of the program! This class will take place for one hour, once per week, for 8 weeks. Recommended attire is all black with ballet shoes OR pink tights/ black leotard/ballet shoes.
