Exercise in the water has been proven to help people dealing with arthritis. We offer many arthritis classes in our heated pools around the city. See Water Fitness and other schedules at our YMCA locations.
“Grace Swim Lessons” provides youth with autism a chance to learn how to swim and be safe around the water, with an incredible staff to swimmer ratio and a program designed specifically for the swimmer.
“Moving Forward” is an exercise and strength program designed for youth dealing with the effects of cancer.

Inclusive Group Classes
Inclusive Group Exercise classes are designed for all abilities. Group Exercise classes provide physical fitness in a fun social setting. To learn more, contact Ann Senz at the Patrick Henry Family YMCA.
For participants with multiple sclerosis, this class combines water walking and MS Moves stretching to increase mobility and assist in maintain muscle tone and strength.
Participants will engage in activities to maximize general range of motion and balance. Light weight training, free exercises and balance training will be used to facilitate activities of daily living. Participants must be able to walk, preferably unassisted.
The YMCA partners with “Sportable” to provide athletes access to YMCA facilities for physical activity and sport specific training.
