YMCA Diabetes Programs

The YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program and Diabetes Control Program are designed to help adult participants (18 and older) who are at risk for or have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) to gain skills in reducing their risk of developing the condition or in managing it. The program is delivered by a trained Lifestyle Coach through peer-facilitation and motivational interviewing techniques.

The YMCA’s work on diabetes is now published in the The Diabetes Educator. Read the article here.
