Land-based Fitness

Sports

Many Y branches offer pickleball and other adult sport programming.  To search by branch and to learn more, click here.

Water-based Fitness

Use our heated, indoor pools for group exercise classes in the water, which are much easier on your joints and muscles.  Visit our Schedules page to search by location and find the water fitness classes near you.

Senior Fitness Testing

Participants will complete a series of tests to help determine your current fitness level and see how you can improve throughout the year.  The testing is FREE and open to YMCA members and non-members!

The Fitness Testing is composed of 4 parts: a lower body leg strength, upper body arm strength, cardiovascular endurance and balance and agility test.

Tuesday, May 28 – Petersburg Family YMCA, 9 – 11 a.m.
Friday, May 31 – Petersburg Family YMCA, 10 a.m. – Noon

Thursday, May 17 – Northside Family YMCA, 9 – 10 a.m.
