Camp Connections

Week 7: July 30 - August 3

From the Camp Director

We hope your camper is having an amazing week at Camp Winnipeg! Week seven is off to a great start with the rain staying away – fingers crossed we continue to have sunny skies! With summer starting to come to a close, we can’t help but think of the school year. Why does your camper’s fun have to end just because camp is over?? Come join us at our YMCA After School Program! We pick up from many schools in the Hanover area and have some onsite programming at schools as well! Check out our website for more details on exact locations, timing, and rates.

As always, thank you for allowing Camp Winnipeg to be a place that your child can learn and grow – we love having them here!

Reminders:

Reminder that every Wednesday is WACKY WEDNESDAY! Dress up for the weeks theme to earn a spirit bead! This coming week’s theme is Space Invaders – dress out of this world!

Program Highlight

We cannot sing enough praises about how talented our campers are, and the talent showcase was a prime example of that! Families and camp staff alike were in awe of how many amazing talents were put on display. With everything from singing and dancing to dolphin noises and spoken monologues, there was never a dull moment. Thank you to everyone who came out to this special night – we will never forget it!

LIT Highlight

We love seeing our LIT campers learn new skills – our campers had the opportunity to visit Capitol One to learn about the world of coding! It was an amazing opportunity to see how modern day 21st century skills are put into real life application, and we hope it was an inspiration for some future coders and engineers!

We can’t wait to see how our camper’s swimming skills progress throughout the summer – they’ve come out the gate strong!
