Tuckahoe Family YMCA is proud to be one of the few YMCA's in the nation to have an indoor rock climbing wall as part of its facility. With over 3,000 square-feet of climbing available, our bouldering and climbing walls offer many routes suitable for all ages and abilities.

Our 23 foot rockwall, built by Solidrock in 1998, has 12 belay stations, over 2,000 artificial holds and countless "natural" features for beginners to learn to climb on and for seasoned climbers to test their skills.

Our 12 foot bouldering wall, added in 2002, features many challenging problems. With routes ranging from vertical to horizontal, the bouldering wall has something to push climbers of all levels.

Fee(s):	Free for Facility Members with a YMCA Belay Certified partner to climb without staff assistance. Belay fee - $6 per Facility Member per session for staff belay assistance. Adventure Center Rules
Signed waivers are required to climb or boulder.
If the climber is less than 18 year of age, a parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver.
Children under 13 must be supervised by a parent/guardian.
Must be 13 or older to belay.
Climbers under age 18 must wear a helmet.
When bouldering on the main wall, feet must not be more than 5 feet off the ground.
To prevent dust, only chalk balls are permitted in the climbing area. No loose chalk.
Appropriate shoes must be worn. No open toe shoes or bare feet.
Shirts must be worn at all times.
No one is permitted on the gymnastic equipment without direct supervision by YMCA staff.
No food, gum or drinks allowed in the climbing areas.
Respect other members and YMCA staff.
YMCA appropriate language must be used at all times.
No running allowed in the climbing area.

BELAY CERTIFICATION CLASSES
Learn how to belay, attach a harness, tie proper knots and understand belay techniques and terms of the sport. Must pass a written test and a practical test to become belay certified.

ROCK WALL BIRTHDAY PARTIES
This is one party your friends will remember! Celebrate your special day scaling our rockwall and playing age appropriate games. These two hour parties are offered on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The first hour is devoted to climbing and other activities and the second hour is for the party. Two belay staff dedicated to each party. Each child must have a signed waiver in order to climb.
