This progressive program is divided into six levels, ranging from beginner to advanced. Beginners focus on developing freestyle and stressing proper rotary breathing, while advanced levels focus on other skills such as backstroke. 

POLLIWOG (BEGINNER) 
Will learn back float, rhythmic breathing with kickboard for 25 yards unassisted, and paddle stroke for 25 yards unassisted.
Class Length: 30 minutes. 

GUPPY (BEGINNER) 
Advanced beginner level. Needs to be comfortable putting face in water. Will learn front crawl with rotary breathing and backstroke for 25 yards.
Class Length: 30 minutes.

MINNOW (INTERMEDIATE)
Must be able to swim front crawl and backstroke for 25 yards. Will learn elementary backstroke and be introduced to side stroke.
Class Length: 45 minutes.

FISH (INTERMEDIATE)
Must be able to swim front crawl and backstroke for 75 yards, elementary backstroke for 50 yards, sidestroke for 25 yards. Will be introduced to butterfly kick and breaststroke.
Class Length: 45 minutes.

FLYING FISH (ADVANCED)
Must be able to swim front crawl and backstroke for 100 yards, elementary backstroke for 50 yards, breaststroke for 50 yards, sidestroke for 50 yards, and butterfly for 25 yards.
Class Length: 45 minutes.

SHARK (ADVANCED)
Must be able to swim front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and sidestroke for 100 yards; butterfly for 50 yards; trudgen crawl for 50 yards; lifesaving sidestroke for 100 yards; and inverted breaststroke for 50 yards.
Class Length: 45 minutes.
