YMCA Youth Sports programs fill kids' discretionary hours with positive activities and caring adult attention. Coaches - often volunteers, including many parents - emphasize teamwork, cooperation, and the the development of skills and positive values. Youth sports programs are based on our four core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The YMCA offers a variety of youth sports to suit all ages and abilities. Sports programs range from introductory classes to competitive sports leagues.
YOUTH BASKETBALL (K-5th grade) June 8th - July 31st

Practice & Game Information
The winter season runs January - March. The Fall season runs Sept - Nov. Practices & games are held at Midlothian Family YMCA. Practices are held before each game.
What equipment is needed?
The YMCA will provide a reversible jersey and a participation award at the end of the season. Participants must wear appropriate footwear and black sports shorts. Some basketballs, cones and pennies will be provided, however, you may bring your own basketballs.
YOUTH SOCCER (Age 3-8th grade) Indoor: June 7th & 9th - July 28th & 30th Outdoor: Sept 11th - Nov 6th
Must be 3 years of age prior to the start of the season. Soccer is offered in the winter, spring, summer and fall.

Practice Information
Winter and summer indoor practices will be held for 30 minutes before games (on Fridays & Saturdays).
For spring & fall practices, Pre K-8th grades will practice once during the week and play games on Saturdays. Practices are held at Midlothian Family YMCA fields. Practice times assigned to teams are spring 5:30 or 6:30pm and fall 5:15 or 6:15pm Monday - Friday.
What equipment is needed?
The YMCA will provide a uniform shirt for the pre K program. The K-8th grade participants will receive a full soccer uniform for all players (shirt, shorts and socks) Participants must have shin guards, appropriate footwear and a soccer ball. Indoor soccer participants will only receive a uniform shirt.

YOUTH SPORTS SAMPLER (Ages 3-5 years) Sept 21st - Oct 12th and Oct 26th - Nov 16th

Day of Event and Information
Tuesdays from 10 - 11am or 1:30 - 2:30pm with participants learning a variety of sports and games. Drop off and pick up will be located in the gymnasium.
What equipment is needed?
The YMCA will provide all equipment needed for each sport covered for that day. All participants are required to provide proper footwear and clothing to participate on the fields or in the gym.
YOUTH T-BALL LEAGUE (Ages 3yrs - 2nd grade) May 15th - June 26th.

Practice and Game Information
Baseball/t-ball will take place May - June. Registration begins February 1st. Weekly practices will be held (with one hour allotted per team) and games will take place on Saturdays from 9am-2pm.
The YMCA will provide a shirt and hat for each participant. All other equipment (bats, balls, etc.) will be available for practices and games.

YOUTH TENNIS LESSONS (K - 12th grade) March 7th - May 2nd | Aug 28th - Sept 18th | Sept 25th - Oct 16th

Practice and Game Information
Sessions run March - May. Registration for all sessions begins January 1st. Lessons are given on Tuesday evenings, Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons.
What equipment is needed?
The YMCA will provide an instructor, court and tennis balls. Participants must provide racquet and be wearing appropriate footwear on the court. Lessons will be held off site.
