COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (CIT) Teens aspiring to be future camp staff members have the opportunity to get advanced training. CITs shadow a camp counselor during the day and learn the appropriate skills and knowledge needed to become a day camp counselor. Each week, CITs will attend workshops and work closely with counselors to develop skills in areas such as implementing daily camp activities, discipline, first-aid and child relations. CITs will also have opportunities to attend special events and field trips. All participants will receive an evaluation at the end of the summer. Participation does not guarantee a staff position, but is looked upon favorably.
