With the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility as our guide, we work with you every day to help your children have fun while realizing their potential.

Youth Swim Lessons

The YMCA has been teaching people how to swim for over 100 years. Children gain confidence and self esteem in swim lessons as they work to become a better swimmer and mastering challenges that once seemed impossible. YMCA swim lessons teach safety and responsibility around the water.

Registration is available either online or at the Goochland Family YMCA. Where online registration is not available, you may sign up at the branch.

PARENT / CHILD SWIM LESSONS (ages 6 months - 3 years)
You and your child will love these fun, game-filled, half-hour lessons. Positive reinforcement is structured to help your child learn to enjoy the water rather than fearing it. Our instructors never force these young swimmers to submerge. This class is an excellent introduction to the pool and to our preschool swim lessons.
