GIRLFORCE_LOGOYMCA GirlForce is a health and fitness program for girls ages 7 - 12. This innovative workshop promotes physical activity, healthy eating habits, positive body image, and smoking abstinence. The goal of the program is to help all girls achieve their fullest potential physically and emotionally. There are 3 parts to the YMCA GirlForce program.

Introductory Retreat

In this four-hour workshop, girls are introduced to the joy of movement, healthy eating, self-expression, positive role models, and essential information that reconnects them to body wisdom and inspires fitness. Girls must attend a YMCA GirlForce Retreat in order to participate in an eight-week session. For more information on upcoming retreats please click here.

Eight-Week Session

Girls meet twice weekly over eight-weeks. Sessions build on the information learned at the retreat. In addition to making friends, girls experience new activities such as recreational sports, a field trip, healthy cooking, and much more. For more information on upcoming sessions please click here.
